Daniel J. Ryan
Daniel Joseph Ryan (January 1, 1855 – June 15, 1923) was an American politician who served as the 25th Ohio Secretary of State from 1889 to 1892 and a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1884 to 1888 as a Republican Party (United States), Republican. He was later an author. Biography Daniel J. Ryan was born January, 1855 in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he lived till age seven when his family moved to Portsmouth, Ohio. His parents were John and Honora Ryan, natives of Ireland. He attended public schools and graduated from high school in 1875. Henry Howe (October 11, 1816 – October 14, 1893) was an American author who wrote histories of several states in the United States. His most celebrated work is the three volume ''Historical Collections of Ohio''. Life Henry Howe was born in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of a publisher and printer, whose bookstore was one of the most famous in the country.
