Daniel Hillier
Daniel Hillier (born 26 July 1998) is a New Zealand professional golfer. He won the 2021 Challenge Costa Brava on the Challenge Tour. Amateur career Hillier had a successful amateur career, winning the New Zealand Amateur twice, in 2015 and 2017. He won the Australian Boys' Amateur in 2016 and was twice winner of the New Zealand under-19 championship, in 2015 and 2016. Hillier was also twice winner of the Bledisloe Cup, in 2016 and 2018, as the leading amateur in the New Zealand Open, and was a co-medalist, with Cole Hammer, at the 2018 U.S. Amateur. As a 17-year-old amateur, Hillier won the 2015 John Jones Steel Harewood Open on the Charles Tour. He beat Jim Cusdin by a stroke after finishing on 277, 11-under-par, with three birdies in his last five holes. European Tour
The European Tour (currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons), legally the PGA European Tour is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour (for players aged fifty or older) and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men’s professional golf in Europe. The tour's headquarters are at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. Swiss Challenge
The Swiss Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, held in Switzerland, except in 2021, when it was held in France. History It was first played as the Credit Suisse Private Banking Open in 2000 and 2001 at the Golf Club Patriziale Ascona in Ascona. It replaced the Interlaken Open which ended after financial issues. During the course of the 2002 edition, the heavy rain led to the overflow of the Lake Maggiore and to the cancellation of the event. Following a four-year hiatus, the tournament returned in 2006 and was held at the Wylihof Golf Club in Luterbach through 2009. Since 2010 the event has been played at Golf Sempachersee in Hildisrieden. In 2021, the event was uniquely held in France. Marcus Helligkilde
Marcus Helligkilde (born 5 October 1996) is a Danish professional golfer. In 2021, he won the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge and Swiss Challenge on the Challenge Tour and finished the season as the winner of the Challenge Tour Rankings. Career As an amateur, Helligkilde won the 2015 Turkish Amateur Open Championship and represented Denmark at the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy and the 2017 European Amateur Team Championship. Helligkilde turned professional in late 2017 and joined the 2018 Nordic Golf League (NGL), where he recorded 10 top-10 finishes and secured his maiden professional title at the Ekerum Öland Masters in September. He finished fifth on the NGL Ranking to earn a Challenge Tour card for 2019. 2021 Challenge Tour
The 2021 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Similarly to 2020, the season was to begin in February with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, but in mid-January the South African swing was postponed to April–May over COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The official schedule announcement was made on 27 January 2021. In April two back-to-back events in Sweden in May were added. In August, it was announced that the Hainan Open and the Foshan Open; both played in China, were cancelled. Oliver Wilson
Oliver John Wilson (born 14 September 1980) is an English professional golfer. Wilson was a member of the 2008 Ryder Cup, but had to wait another six years for his first European Tour win, the 2014 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Amateur career Wilson was born in Mansfield, England, where his golfing career began at Coxmoor Golf Club, having been a junior at Oakmere Park Golf Club. He played collegiately at Augusta State University. Professional career Wilson turned professional in 2003 and played on the Challenge Tour in 2004. He finished 15th on the Order of Merit list and moved up to the European Tour.
