Daniel E. Friedmann
Daniel E. Friedmann serves as Carbon Engineering's CEO and Board Chair. Friedmann assumed the role of CEO in January, 2022, having served on CE's board for the previous five years, four of which as Board Chair. Until 2016, Friedmann was CEO of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates for 20 years, during which time the company's revenue grew 19-fold and market capitalization increased 35-fold. Career Friedmann was born Sept. 19, 1956, in Chile, and immigrated to Vancouver as a teenager; his family was part of a group that left Chile during the presidency of Salvador Allende.
