Daniel Brodin
Daniel Brodin (born 9 February 1990) is a Swedish professional ice hockey right winger who is currently playing for Djurgårdens IF Hockey in the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). Brodin has represented Sweden internationally at the 2010 World Junior Championships. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Brodin participated in the 2006 TV-pucken, playing for Stockholm Röd. He scored one goal and two points but couldn't help the team get promoted to the playoffs. He played the rest of the 2006–07 season in Almtuna IS' J20 team. He moved to Djurgårdens IF the following season, where he played in Djurgården's J18 team for most of the season. Brodin was promoted to the J20 team for the 2008–09 season. The team made it to the playoffs but was beaten by Brynäs IF in the semifinals. Marcus Krüger
Marcus Krüger (born 27 May 1990) is a Swedish professional ice hockey centreman who is currently playing as captain for Djurgårdens IF Hockey of the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fifth round, 149th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He is a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Blackhawks in 2013 and 2015. Before joining the Blackhawks, Krüger previously played for Stockholm-based Djurgårdens IF then of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Krüger represents Sweden in international play, helping his country capture a bronze medal at the junior level and a silver medal in senior international play. Childhood sweetheart is a reciprocating phrase for a relationship (but not a partnership) between young persons. The Channel One Cup (russian: Кубок Первого канала, formerly Izvestia Trophy) is an annual ice hockey event held in Russia under the auspices of Channel One. It is an open tournament typically composed of various national teams. History The tournament started in 1967 in Moscow in the Soviet Union. The first edition of the tournament was held in 1967, in honour of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. It was the only time when the tournament was held in different cities at one time, namely in Moscow, Leningrad, and Voskresensk. Six teams participated in that tournament; two Soviet teams, two Czechoslovakian teams, a Canadian team, and a Polish team. Sweden and West Germany declined the invitation. The Karjala Tournament ( fi, Karjala-turnaus), also known as Karjala Cup, is an annual ice hockey event held in Finland. The name comes from the sponsoring beer brand Karjala. History The tournament started in 1992 as the Sauna Cup. In 1995, the tournament was played as Christmas Cup at the same time as the Izvestija Trophy tournament, just before the Christmas holiday, causing Russia to send a reserve team to the Christmas Cup. In 1996, the tournament was moved to early November under the sponsorship of Karjala under the name Karjala Tournament. Niklas Nordgren
Niklas Nordgren (born June 28, 1979) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey forward who began and finished his career playing for Modo Hockey in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career Nordgren was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in Round 8, 195th overall at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, but remained in Sweden and made his Swedish Elitserien debut with Modo Hockey in 1998–99. Pär Mårts (born 30 April 1953) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player and coach of the Swedish National team. Playing career Mårts started his playing career in 1971 for playing VIK Västerås HK in Swedish third-tier division. The following season the club was promoted to Sweden's second-tier division HockeyAllsvenskan. In his fourth season 1974-75 he joined Stockholm based club AIK helping them win promotion for Elitserien. During the 1975–76 and 1979-80 seasons, he played 174 games in Elitserien, totalling 121 points (63 goals, 58 assists) and 63 penalty minutes. The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), or simply the "World Juniors" in ice hockey circles, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A.
