''Daniel Boone, Trail Blazer'' is a 1956 American Western film co-produced and directed by Albert C. Gannaway and Ismael Rodríguez and starring Bruce Bennett, Lon Chaney Jr. and Faron Young. The film was shot in Trucolor in Mexico. It was released by Republic Pictures at the height of the ''Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier'' craze. Plot Set in 1775, during the American War of Independence, the settlement of Boonesborough, Kentucky, is besieged by both hostile Shawnee Indian tribes and the British. Daniel Boone
Daniel Boone (September 26, 1820) was an American pioneer and frontiersman whose exploits made him one of the first folk heroes of the United States. He became famous for his exploration and settlement of Kentucky, which was then beyond the western borders of the Thirteen Colonies. In 1775, Boone blazed the Wilderness Road through the Cumberland Gap and into Kentucky, in the face of resistance from American Indians, for whom Kentucky was a traditional hunting ground. He founded Boonesborough, one of the first English-speaking settlements west of the Appalachian Mountains. By the end of the 18th century, more than 200,000 people had entered Kentucky by following the route marked by Boone. Gordon William Mills (15 May 1935 – 29 July 1986) was a successful London-based music industry manager and songwriter. He was born in Madras, British India and grew up in Trealaw in the Rhondda Valley, South Wales. Freddy Fernández (actor)
Alfredo Jesús Fernández Sáenz (January 16, 1934 – May 10, 1995) was a Mexican film and television actor, nicknamed El Pichi. Fernández was born in Mexico City, the only son of Alfredo Fernández and Elisa Sáenz Rojas. As a youth, he joined the Children's Fine Arts Theatre Company of Fine Arts under the direction of Clementina Otero. The nickname "El Pichi" was given to Fernández by producer Luis Manrique during the making of the film '' Callejera'' in 1949. He received the Virginia Fábregas medal from National Association of Actors (ANDA) for his 25 year career and was nominated three times for an Ariel Award. His son is Alfredo Fernández ("El Pato"). Rebecca Ann Bryan Boone (January 9, 1739 – March 18, 1813) was an American pioneer and the wife of famed frontiersman Daniel Boone.
