Daniel Bigham
Daniel John Bigham (born 2 October 1991) is a British racing cyclist, who rode for UCI Continental team from 2018 until 2021. He rode in the men's individual pursuit event at the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. Starting in 2022, he also works for Ineos Grenadiers as a performance engineer, helping the riders on the team improve their aerodynamic performance. At the 2022 British National Track Championships in Newport, Wales he won another British title after winning the pursuit title. Alongside Charlie Tanfield, Ethan Vernon and Oliver Wood, Bigham won silver in the team pursuit at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Hour record On 1 October 2021, Bigham rode at the Tissot Velodrome in Grenchen (Switzerland) to break Bradley Wiggins's British national hour record. Newcastle-under-Lyme ( RP: , ) is a market town and the administrative centre of the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, England. Charlie Tanfield
Charles Tanfield (born 17 November 1996) is a British Track & Road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Continental team Saint Piran (cycling team). He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the Mens Team Pursuit. He rode in the men's team pursuit event at the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, winning the gold medal. Tanfield won silver in the team pursuit and gold in the Individual pursuit at the 2018 Commonwealth Games where he set of time of 4:11.455, the third fastest Individual pursuit time in history. Tanfield went on to claim a second silver in the team pursuit at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. 2022 British National Track Championships
The 2022 British National Track Championships were a series of track cycling competitions. The National Track Championships (excluding certain events) were due to be held from 28 to 30 January 2022 at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome in Newport, Wales. However, following further issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic the event was rescheduled for 3 March to 6 March. They are organised and sanctioned by British Cycling, and are open to British cyclists. The championships are sponsored by HSBC. The Derny, Omnium, Madison (cycling), Madison, Tandem and inaugural Elimination race, Elimination events took place at various other dates throughout the year. History In 1995 Australian Bill Mitchell, a keen cyclist and professor of economics at the University of Newcastle, created the website titled "Bill’s Cycling Racing Results and News" after finding there was a need for fast-breaking news and race results in English-speaking countries. In 1999 Sydney-based publishing company Knapp Communications purchased the website from Mitchell, and in July 2007 they sold it to British publisher Future plc for £2.2m. In July 2014 it was bought by Immediate Media Company, along with the print-only '' Procycling'' magazine. In February 2019, Immediate Media sold its cycling titles back to Future. Ineos Grenadiers () (stylised as INEOS Grenadiers) (formerly Team Sky from 2010 to 2019, and Team Ineos from 2019 to 2020) is a British professional cycling team that competes at the UCI WorldTeam level.
