Dangerous Dreams
''Dangerous Dreams'' is the debut studio album by American dance-punk band Moving Units. It was released on October 12, 2004, by Palm Records. It was their second release, after their 2002 '' Moving Units EP''. The track "Between Us & Them" was used in Leo Romero's opening part in Foundation's skateboarding video ''That's Life''. The track "Going for Adds" was used in a 2007 commercial for Secret Anti-Perspirant Deodorant. Critical reception ''Dangerous Dreams'' was met with "mixed or average" reviews from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, this release received an average score of 53 based on 12 reviews. In a review for AllMusic, critic reviewer Heather Phares wrote: "''Dangerous Dreams'' mix of uptight rhythms, angular guitars, and shouty, faux-Brit vocals doesn't invoke nostalgia for late '70s and early '80s. Moving Units
Moving Units is an American dance-punk band from Los Angeles, California. History The band was formed in 2001 by Blake Miller (formerly of Spectacle) Johan Boegli and Chris Hathwell after Miller invited Boegli and Hathwell to jam songs from an early demo he self-produced. They released their debut EP, '' Moving Units'', on Three One G in early 2002. Their touring experience includes opening slots for Hot Hot Heat, Pixies, Blur and Nine Inch Nails. Their debut full-length album, '' Dangerous Dreams'', was released on October 12, 2004, by Palm Pictures. Moving Units released their second studio album, '' Hexes for Exes'' in 2007 on Metropolis Records. The first single, "Pink Thoughts", was released through the band's MySpace page. Miguel Trost De Pedro (born July 27, 1979), better known by his stage name Kid606, is an electronic musician who was raised in San Diego and later moved to San Francisco. He is most closely associated with the glitch, IDM, hardcore techno and breakcore scenes. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean. Deodorant
A deodorant is a substance applied to the body to prevent or mask body odor due to bacterial breakdown of perspiration or vaginal secretions, for example in the armpits, groin, or feet. Leo Romero (born November 28, 1986) is a professional skateboarder whose early skateboarding influences included Heath Kirchart, Jamie Thomas and Andrew Reynolds.
