Dangerous Curves (1961 Film)
''Dangerous Curves'' ( et, Ohtlikud kurvid) is a 1962 Soviet film. It is a remake of the 1959 film ''Naughty Curves'' (also known as ''Mischievous Curves'') ( et, Vallatud kurvid). The plot revolves around two rival motorcyclists' love for one of the two twin sisters. The film was shot in Estonia in 1960–61, and released internationally in 1962. It was filmed in the Soviet-designed Kinopanorama format. In 1999, Fifth Continent Australia Pty Ltd and Vision 146 SARL commissioned the restoration of two reels from the eleven-reel film. These have since been screened at the former New Neon Movies in Dayton, Ohio, the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California, and most recently at the Bradford Widescreen Festival on 19 March 2008. Kaljo Kiisk
Kaljo Kiisk (3 December 1925 – 20 September 2007) was a Soviet and Estonian actor, film director, screenwriter and politician. He was best known for his roles as Kristjan Lible from ''Spring'' ( et, Kevade), ''Summer'' (''Suvi'') and ''Autumn'' (''Sügis''), film adaptations of Oskar Luts' novels, and as Johannes Saarepera from ETV's long-running ''Õnne 13''. His career spanned over half a century from 1953 to 2007. Early life Kiisk was born and raised in Vaivina. In 1944, aged 18, he served in the anti-aircraft unit of the 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Estonian), and took part in the Battle of Tannenberg Line. After World War II, he managed to obscure his military service from the Soviet occupiers. In 1946, he graduated from the Rakvere 1st Secondary School and enrolled at the Tallinn University of Technology. Rein Aren
Rein Aren (25 December 1927 Tartu – 16 May 1990 Tallinn) was an Estonian actor. In 1951 he graduated from GITIS' Estonian studio. From 1946 until 1949, he was a choir singer and ballet dancer at Vanemuine theatre. From 1951 until 1972, and again from 1979, he worked at Estonian Drama Theatre. From 1973 until 1979, he worked at Russian Theatre. Besides theatre roles he played also in several films.
