Dance Club Massacre
Dance Club Massacre was an American deathcore band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2004, the group originated as a simple recording project between founding members Nick Seger and Kurt Latos. After recording three songs described as "Halloween-core" and distributing them to friends, the project became a complete band when friends began rehearsals with one another all while attending college. Dance Club Massacre consisted of Nick Seger ( lead vocals), Jon Caruso ( drums), Chris Mrozek (bass guitar), Mitch Hein (guitar) and Matt Hynek ( keyboards). They are currently signed to Metal Blade Records, and its division, Black Market Activities. History Dance Club Massacre originated in Lansing, Illinois in 2004 as a duo consisting of Nick Seger and Kurt Latos before acquiring the line-up of a full band consisting of friends, many of which were college students. An Albatross
An Albatross is a noise rock band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. History Formed in the fall of 1999 by guitarist Jake Lisowski, vocalist Edward B. Gieda III, drummer Chris Abbott, bassist Jason Hudak, and organist Phillip Reynolds Price, the band quickly amassed material and recorded their cassette demo "1.) Sex 2.) Bird 3.) Cake." The following summer marked the first of many expansive tours that An Albatross has become renowned for. In 2001, Philadelphian upstart label When Humans Attack! Records produced and released the '' Eat Lightning, Shit Thunder'' 12" EP. Following the release of the 12", the CD version was pressed with permission by Bloodlink Records. The record was completed in two sessions during the winter months of 2000–2001 at Dungeon Studios in Upper Darby, PA. Cradle Of Filth
Cradle of Filth are an English extreme metal band formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band's musical style evolved originally from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic metal and other metal genres. Dimmu Borgir () is a Norwegian symphonic black metal band from Jessheim, formed in 1993. The name is derived from Dimmuborgir, a volcanic formation in Iceland, the name of which means "dark cities" or "dark castles/fortresses" in Icelandic, Faroese and Old Norse. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. Circle of Death is the second and last studio album by Dance Club Massacre, released November 11, 2008. It was recorded in 2008 at More Sounds Studios in Syracuse, New York with Jason "Jacko" Randall as the producer and was released through Black Market Activities. While the band's debut album was more-or-less a combination of deathcore and mathcore, this release is more influenced by black metal, death metal, metalcore, and avant-garde metal. Guitarist Mitch Hein stated "Jocko really pushed us to be better musicians. The songs were dissected and put back together again with a lot of attention to detail."
