Dana Ciocarlie
Dana Ciocarlie (born 26 November 1968) is a French pianist and teacher of music of Romanian origin. Life Born in Bucharest, Ciocarlie began her musical studies at the Bucharest Conservatory and won her first prize in 1990. She came to work at the École normale de musique de Paris with Viktoria Melki (a student of Alfred Cortot) for her concert diploma, then perfected her skills with Dominique Merlet and Georges Pludermacher for two years at the Conservatoire de Paris as well as with Christian Zacharias and Dmitri Bashkirov. She then participated in various competitions: winner of the Yamaha Foundation (1993), the Cziffra Foundation (1994), auditions of young artists in Leipzig (1995), and won the Pro Musicis prize in 1996 (prize of the Yvonne Lefébure foundation), the same year than the Robert Schumann International Competition for Pianists and Singers in Zwickau (2nd place) and the Géza Anda Competition the following year in Zurich (special Sándor Végh prize). Laurent Korcia
Laurent Korcia (born 1964) is a French violinist who studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. After receiving a Premier Prix from the Conservatoire, he won the Paganini Competition in Genoa, a Grand Prix at the Jacques Thibaud Competition, the Premier Grand Prix at the international Zino Francescatti Competition and a scholarship from the Young Concert Artists Trust in London. In 2002, he was awarded the Victoires de la Musique as instrumental soloist of the year in France and was made Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres. Marie Jaëll (née Trautmann) (17 August 1846 – 4 February 1925) was a French pianist, composer, and pedagogue. Marie Jaëll composed pieces for piano, concertos, quartets, and others, She dedicated her cello concerto to Jules Delsart, and was the first pianist to perform all the piano sonatas of Beethoven in Paris. She did scientific studies of hand techniques in piano playing and attempted to replace traditional drilling with systematic piano methods. Stéphane Delplace (born 11 November 1953) is a French composer. Biography Delplace was born in Bordeaux. Edith Canat de Chizy (born 26 March 1950) is a French composer, born in Lyon and now based in Paris. She was the first female composer to be elected a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
