Under A Billion Suns
''Under a Billion Suns'' is the seventh studio album by Mudhoney, released in the United States in March 2006. It was recorded with three different producers: Phil Ek, Johnny Sangster and Tucker Martine. The album was a further departure from Mudhoney's original grunge sound, and a continuation of the more commercial sound that began with their previous album. Of note is the unusual amount of saxophones and trumpets featured on the album. A few of the songs also feature female backing vocals. The first few hundred copies pre-ordered from Sub Pop were autographed by the band, and came with a bonus CD featuring demos and remixes. The song "Empty Shells" was featured on the "NHL 2K7" video game. Writing and recording The album includes backing vocals from Christy McWilson and Amy Allison on "Let's Drop In" and "I Saw the Light". Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew
''Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew'' is an EP by the grunge band Mudhoney released on October 26, 1993, by Reprise Records. Mudhoney vocalist Mark Arm described this EP as a chance for the band to "get new songs out for fans in between albums." Song information This EP is a compilation of seven tracks, four of which were new songs at the time of release. Out of the remaining three, two are rare and the last is a re-recording of a previously released song. The song "Make It Now" from Mudhoney's previous album '' Piece of Cake'' was re-recorded and re-titled "Make It Now Again" for this EP. "Deception Pass" and "Underide" both appear on previously released singles. The remaining four tracks are all brand new and unique to the EP. The four new songs feature a very diverse selection of music from "In the Blood" with its 'mid-range pace' to "Six To One" which demonstrates the band's grunge origins. "No Song III" manages to illustrate Dan Peters' "sharp drumming flair", while " ...

''Piece of Cake'' is the third studio album by American rock band Mudhoney. Released in 1992, it was their first album for Reprise Records. The album was released at the height of grunge, a genre Mudhoney had helped create. The album peaked at No. 189 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The band supported it with a North American tour that included shows with Eugenius. " Suck You Dry" and "Blinding Sun" were released as singles. Reprise reissued the album in 2003, bundled with the E.P. '' Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew'' and the B-sides from the singles. Production Recorded at Seattle's Egg Studios, the album was produced by Conrad Uno and the band. Mudhoney spent $15,000 to record it; unlike previous albums, the band completed it at one time, instead of spending non-consecutive weeks in the studio. Reprise granted Mudhoney full artistic freedom in the making of ''Piece of Cake''. Mudhoney reserved four of the album's tracks for each individual bandmember to do what he saw fit. "Yout ...

It is named after a mnemonic used by music students to recall the notes ( EGBDF) on the lines of the treble clef.
