Damith Chandima Bandara Wijayathunga (born 1991 as දමිත් විජයතුංග)), popularly as Damith Wijayathunga is an actor in television and a model. He is the winner of Mister Sri Lanka in 2017. Personal life Wijayathunga was born on 1991, in Matale as the eldest of the family with three siblings. He has two younger brothers. He started primary education from Vijaya College, Matale. After passing grade 5 scholarship, he attended St Thomas' College, Matale for his secondary education and then entered Government Science College, Matale for G.C.E O/L and A/L. During school times, he was excellent in cricket and athletics, specially in the 100-200 meters track events. Matale
Matale ( Sinhala: මාතලේ, ta, மாத்தளை, translit=Māttaḷai) is the administrative capital city of the Matale District. It is the most urbanised and populated centre in the district. Matale Vijaya College ( Sinhala: විජය විද්යාලය), or (VCM) is a "Buddhist College" situated in matale city center, A9 highway main road. It is the oldest buddhist college in, matale district. Vijaya College was founded in 1886 by Henry Steel Olcott History In 1886 Sir Henry Steel Olcott, Stephen Silva, Sir Don Baron Jayatilaka, A. D. S. St. Thomas' College, Matale ( Sinhala: මාතලේ ශාන්ත තෝමස් විද්යාලය), or (STC), is a secondary school for only boys; located in Matale, Sri Lanka, History The school was established in 1873 under the verandah of a small mud-and-wattle church. The first class of students included 75 boys and 12 girls. In 1876, the school was split into separate boys and girls schools by Rev. Fr. Aloysius J. M. Marrer. The headmaster of the boys' school was Leo de Silva, and the leader of the girls' school was Rosa Perera.
