Dalton is a Danish supergroup made up of singers Lars Lilholt, Johnny Madsen and Allan Olsen Allan Olsen (born 18 March 1956 in Grønholt, Vendsyssel) is a Danish folkrock musician and singer-songwriter. His famous live performances combine his songs with satirical and dryly-tempered anecdotes. The music is delivered either acoustically ..., all successful artists in their own right. The band was formed in 1983 and released their debut album in 1992, a full decade after having performed together. The album was self-titled ''Dalton''. The group disbanded immediately after the tour that was arranged in connection with the record release. They reunited in 2005 for a musical project and have made a comeback in 2010 onwards to tour together. Lars Lilholt
Lars Lilholt (born in Herlev, Denmark on 14 March 1953) is a Danish singer, violinist, guitarist and composer. Career Kræn Bysted's In the early 1970s, he was part of Kræn Bysted's, a Danish acoustic folk, electric folk and rock group made up of Lars Lilholt, Jacob Ohrt and Lars Dam, all from Aalborg. The singer Inger Nyholm from Silkeborg joined in 1975 and drummer Jens Jørgen Pedersen in 1977. The group had various bass players contributing including Jakob Dalsgaard, Karsten Kongsøre, Johs Stærk and Ole Grønbæk. Lars Lilholt Band He performs with his band Lars Lilholt Band. Johnny Madsen
Johnny Madsen (born in Thyborøn, Denmark on 31 March 1951) is a Danish musician, songwriter and painter. In the period 1983 to 1992, he was part of Dalton, a supergroup trio made of Madsen, Lars Lilholt and Allan Olsen. Johnny Madsen is living on the island of Fanø, where he has his own art gallery "Madsens Malerier". He has also been part of Hobo Ekspressen. Allan Olsen (born 18 March 1956 in Grønholt, Vendsyssel) is a Danish folkrock musician and singer-songwriter. His famous live performances combine his songs with satirical and dryly-tempered anecdotes. The music is delivered either acoustically or with a rock band. From 1983 to 1992 he was part of Dalton, a supergroup trio made of Olsen, Lars Lilholt and Johnny Madsen. Career Allan Olsen grew up enjoying the musical styles of The Who, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks a.m.. Olsen picked up a guitar himself in the seventies, and hit the road – initially as a low key performer, often playing in the outskirts of Denmark and with a style inspired by Bob Dylan, Bert Jansch and Randy Newman.
