Dalmianagar
Dalmianagar is one of the oldest and biggest industrial towns in India. It is situated at Dehri, Dehri-on-Sone on the banks of the Son River in Rohtas district of Bihar. This is a city and a Municipality in Rohtas district in the state of Bihar, India, combinedly known as Dehri-Dalmianagar Nagar Palika. Dehri also known as Dehri-on-Sone is a Nagar parishad and corresponding community development block in Rohtas district in the state of Bihar, India. Situated on the Son River, Dehri is a large industrial town and a railway hub. Etymology The name Dehri-on-Sone is based on the sone river. The city is situated at the bank of the sone river. Demographics As of 2011, its population was 137,231, in 23,234 households. Dehri is home to the Indrapuri Barrage, the fourth-longest Barrage (dam), barrage in the world. Jaidayal Dalmia
Jaidayal Dalmia (1904–1993) was born into Hindu Agarwal family and was one of the leading industrialists and philanthropists of India. He was one of the co-founders of Dalmia Group and younger brother of Ramkrishna Dalmia Life Sketch Early life Jaidayal Dalmia was born on 11 December 1904 in town of Chirawa in Rajasthan. He started his early education in Calcutta and learned Bangla. Later on, after moving to Chirawa he studied till matriculation. Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain
Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain was an Indian industrialist and philanthropist. He was the son-in-law of Ramkrishna Dalmia and former chairman of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., Bennett, Coleman. His family, Sahu Jains, owns the Times of India newspaper group. Early age and education He was born in the Sahu Jain Family at Najibabad in Uttar Pradesh on 22 May 1911. His grandfather was Sahu Salekh Chand Jain who was involved in religious and charitable activities. His parents were Sahu Diwan Singh and mother Murti devi. Sahu Shanti Prasad received his primary education in Najibabad and his college education was first in Meerut and later at Banaras Hindu University. He did his B.Sc. from Agra University.
