Dalian Institute Of Technology
Dalian University of Technology (DUT) (), colloquially known in Chinese as Dagong (), is a public research university located in Dalian, Liaoning, China, with an additional campus in Panjin, Liaoning. Established in April 1949, it is the first formal university of a new type founded by the Chinese Communist Party on the eve of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, for the construction of China's industrial system. Formerly called the Dalian Institute of Technology, DUT is renowned as one of the Big Four Institutes of Technology in China. Chinese Academy Of Engineering
The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE, ) is the national academy of the People's Republic of China for engineering. It was established in 1994 and is an institution of the State Council of China. The CAE and the Chinese Academy of Sciences are often referred to together as the "Two Academies". Its current president is Li Xiaohong. Since the establishment of CAE, entrusted by the relevant ministries and commissions, the Academy has offered consultancy to the State on major programs, planning, guidelines, and policies. Qian Lingxi
Qian Lingxi (; 26 July 1916 – 20 April 2009), also known as Tsien Ling-hi, was a Chinese civil engineer and physicist. An authority on engineering structural mechanics and computational mechanics, he served as President of the Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and was a founding member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). DUT's Lingxi Library, opened in 2009, is named after him. Cheng Gengdong
Cheng Gengdong (; born September 1941), also known as Geng-Dong Cheng, is a Chinese civil engineer and physicist who specializes in engineering mechanics and computational mechanics. He is a professor at the Dalian University of Technology and served as President from 1995 to 2006. Zhong Wanxie (; born 24 February 1934), also known as Wan-Xie Zhong, is a Chinese civil engineer and physicist. He is a professor at the Dalian University of Technology who specializes in computational mechanics and engineering mechanics. He pioneered computational mechanics in China and served as the founding Chairman of the Chinese Association for Computational Mechanics and an executive committee member of the International Association for Computational Mechanics. Qiu Dahong (; born 6 April 1930) is a Chinese coastal and offshore engineer. He served as chief engineer of the Dalian Fishing Port, the New Dalian Port, the Qinhuangdao Petroleum Port, and many other projects. Qu Bochuan (; November 16, 1909 – February 18, 1997), was a scholar and educator in China, and principal founder of the Dalian University of Technology.
