Dale Saunders (singer)
Dale Saunders (born 3 August 1978) is a Saint Kitts and Nevis-born soca singer now established in London, England. He is also well known for fusion of his music with R&B, ragga and pop music bridging various genres. He was nominated for Best New Male Soca Artist category at the 2010/2011 International Soca Music Awards. He released his debut album ''Here I Am'' on 24 June 2011 on RockSmash Records and distribution by Island Def Jam. He has released a number of well-received hits that showcase his versatility, and appeal for Caribbean countries and in England and continental Europe. In 2013, he was featured in the single " Sing La La La" by Colombian/Italian singer Carolina Márquez featuring Flo Rida and Saunders. A remake of Ruki Vverh! "Around the World (La La La La La)" is the debut single of German-based international Eurodance group ATC (also known as A Touch of Class). The song is a cover of the Russian hit "Pesenka" by Ruki Vverh! and uses the song's melody with additional English lyrics. Armando Christian Pérez (born January 15, 1981), known professionally by his stage name Pitbull, is an American rapper and businessman. Soca music is a genre of music defined by Lord Shorty, its inventor, as the "Soul of Calypso", which has influences of African and East Indian rhythms. It was originally spelt "sokah" by its inventor but through an error in a local newspaper when reporting on the new music it was erroneously spelt "soca"; Lord Shorty confirmed the error but chose to leave it that way to avoid confusion. It is a genre of music that originated in Trinidad and Tobago in the early 1970s and developed into a range of styles during the 1980s and after.
