''Daku Rani Ganga'' is a 1976 Gujarati film directed by Krishnakant. It was based on a Gujarati novel ''Pravah Paltayo'' written by Harkisan Mehta. The film was produced by his son Tushar Mehta. It was also dubbed and released as a Bhojpuri film, directed by Marathi film director Datta Keshav. Harkisan Mehta
Harkisan Laldas Mehta (1928–1998) was a Gujarati author and journalist from India. He was the editor of a weekly, '' Chitralekha''. He wrote several novels. Life Mehta was born in Mahuva near Bhavnagar, Gujarat on 25 May 1928. He completed his school education from M. N. Highschool in Mahuva. He studied till inter Arts. He married on 10 February 1953 in Matunga, Mumbai. He served as an editor of Gujarati weekly, ''Chitralekha'', from 1958 to 1998. He died on 3 April 1998 in Mumbai following heart attack. Mukesh Chand Mathur (22 July 1923 – 27 August 1976), better known mononymously as Mukesh, was an Indian playback singer. Ragini Shah is an Indian film, stage and television actress, and a veteran of Gujarati theatre. She had numerous supporting roles on Indian television, with her portrayal of Dugba in the daily Hindi soap '' Saraswatichandra'' being one of the most remembered.
