Daisy Bateman
Daisy Bateman (born 20 February 2000) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Western Bulldogs in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). She has previously played for North Melbourne. Early career Prior to her draft year, Bateman played with Collingwood in the VFL Women's competition and with the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup Girls competition. She earned selection in the TAC Cup Girls Team of the Year and was named All-Australian for her performances at the 2018 AFL Women's Under 18 Championships. It was revealed she signed on with the club for one more season on 17 June 2021, tying her to the club until the end of 2022. AFLW career Bateman was drafted by North Melbourne with the club's first selection and the 25th pick overall in the 2018 AFL Women's draft. Oakleigh Chargers
The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. The Chargers were one of two additional metropolitan clubs introduced to the competition in 1995 as part of a plan by the AFL to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. The Talent League Girls (also known as the Coates Talent League Girls under naming rights and previously as the NAB League Girls and TAC Cup Girls) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was introduced in 2019. The league is one of the leading competitions for female footballers to be recruited to AFL Women's (AFLW) clubs. North Melbourne Football Club (AFLW) Players
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). 2018 AFL Women's Draft
The 2018 AFL Women's (AFLW) draft consisted of the various periods when the ten clubs in the Australian rules football women's competition could recruit players prior to the competition's 2019 season. As in the previous season, all player contracts are all capped at one-year deals, and all existing AFLW players must be re-signed prior to the 2019 season. Salary AFLW players salaries are managed and paid in full by the AFL on behalf of the clubs. VFL Women's
VFL Women's (VFLW) is the major state-level women's Australian rules football league in Victoria. The league initially comprised the six premier division clubs and the top four division 1 clubs from the now-defunct Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL), and has since evolved into what is also the second primary competition for AFL Women's (AFLW) clubs in Victoria.
