Dainis Kazakevičs
Dainis Kazakevičs (born 30 March 1981) is a Latvian professional football manager who currently is the manager of the Latvian national team. Club career Kazakevičs began his career in the youth team of Jelgavas BJSS, later representing Jelgava-based club Dialogs in the 1995 edition of the Latvian First League. Managerial career Following his playing career, Kazakevičs moved into coaching, coaching Viola's second team. In 2001, Kazakevičs was appointed head coach of Viola. Kazakevičs held the post until the club's demise in 2003, when they merged with RAF Jelgava to form FK Jelgava. Kazakevičs remained manager of the newly formed club. In 2009, Kazakevičs won the Latvian First League, guiding the club to the Latvian Football Cup a year later. In 2013, following his departure from Jelgava, Kazakevičs was appointed Latvia's under-21 manager. Kazakevičs remained in the post for seven years. Bauska
Bauska () is a town in Bauska Municipality, in the Zemgale region of southern Latvia. Bauska is located from the Latvian capital Riga, 62 km (38.5 mi) from Jelgava and from the Lithuanian border on the busy European route E67. The Latvian Football Cup () is the main knockout cup competition in Latvian football. Since 2021, its full name is Responsible Game Latvian Football Cup (''Atbildīgas spēles Latvijas kauss'') due to the sponsorship by sports betting company William Hill. The tournament was launched in 1937, replacing the previous knockout tournament – the Riga Football Cup. The competition is a knockout (single elimination) tournament. From 1937 to 2008 and again since 2017, all of the games of the tournament are played within the year. During the Soviet occupation ( 1940–1941, 1944–1991) it served as a qualification tournament for the Soviet Cup. The Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic (Latvian SSR), also known as Soviet Latvia or simply Latvia, was a federated republic within the Soviet Union, and formally one of its 16 (later 15) constituent republics. RAF Jelgava was a Latvian football (soccer), football club based in Jelgava.The foundation of the club is considered in 1988 and for the first two years there were two teams of RAF Jelgava which in 1990 merged into one.
