A daily devotional is a Christian religious publication that provide a specific spiritual reading for each calendar day. Many daily devotionals take the form of one year devotional books, with many being tailored specifically for children, teenagers, students, men and women. Examples of daily devotional booklets include ''Beside The Still Waters'', '' The Upper Room'', '' Our Daily Bread'', and ''The Word Among Us''. Traditionally daily devotionals came in the format of a book, with one reading passage for each day, and often a reflection and prayer related to the Scripture lesson. Home Altar
A home altar or family altar is a shrine kept in the home of a Western Christian family used for Christian prayer and family worship. Advent
Advent is a Christian season of preparation for the Nativity of Christ at Christmas. It is the beginning of the liturgical year in Western Christianity. The name was adopted from Latin "coming; arrival", translating Greek '' parousia''. In the New Testament, this is the term used for the Second Coming of Christ. An electronic daily devotional is inspirational Christian, Bible-based material that can be delivered through a variety of channels. Unlike Bible software that is designed for in-depth Bible study, daily devotionals in electronic form are designed to focus the mind on one or two thoughts. Roman Catholic Devotions

Anglican devotions are private prayers and practices used by Anglican Christians to promote spiritual growth and communion with God. Leonid Ivanovich Dobychin (russian: Леони́д Ива́нович Добы́чин) (, Ludza, Vitebsk Governorate — March 28, 1936 was a Russian and Soviet writer. Early life The author's father was Ivan Andrianovich Dobychin (1855—1902), who in 1896 moved the family to Dvinsk (now Daugavpils); his mother, Anna Aleksandrovna, was a well-known midwife in Dvinsk. ''My Utmost for His Highest'' is a daily Christian devotional by Oswald Chambers (1874–1917) that compiles his preaching to students and soldiers. Chambers' widow self-published the book with Alden in Oxford circa 1924 (Lukabyo, "From a Ministry for Youth to a Ministry of Youth", 2020, p. 154). The book was first published in America by Dodd, Mead, & Co., in 1935. The copyright was renewed in 1963 by the Oswald Chambers Publications Association, Ltd. The "Updated Edition in Today's Language," edited by James Reimann, has appeared in a variety of formats since 1992. The ''Daily Watchwords'' (german: Herrnhuter Losungen) is an annual, globally distributed publication of the Moravian Church. It was started on 3 May 1728, and is now published in 50 languages, making it the oldest and most widely read daily devotional work in the world. The publication is traditionally in the form of a book or booklet, containing a selection of short bible verses, one for each day of a year. Old Testament texts, the "Watchwords", are chosen by lot annually in Herrnhut from a collection of 1824 verses. ''Portals of Prayer'' is a quarterly publication of the Concordia Publishing House of St. Louis, Missouri, the denominational publisher for the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, with a printed circulation of almost 900,000 copies each quarter.
