Dahiana Burgos
Rossy Dahiana Burgos Herrera (born April 7, 1985 in Santo Domingo) is a volleyball and beach volleyball player from the Dominican Republic. She won the bronze medal with the women's national team at the 2005 Pan American Cup in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She plays as a wing-spiker. Career Burgos represented her home country at the 2005 Women's U20 Volleyball World Championship, and her team finished in the 9th position. She played for the Dominican club Villa Verde in 2006. She also participated in the 2007 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit with Rosalin Angeles, finishing in the 10th position. She played for Pueblo Nuevo in 2008. During the Holy Week Sport Festival held in Hato Mayor, Burgos played Beach Volleyball (three) with Bethania Almanzar and Karla Echenique, winning the silver medal of the event. Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two or more players on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. Each team also works in unison to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court. Ana Esther Lara
Ana Esther Lara (born ) is a retired Dominican Republic female volleyball player. She was part of the Dominican Republic women's national volleyball team. She participated in the 2006 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. On club level she played for Modeca in 2006. Career Lara was awarded Best Receiver in the 2004 National District Superior Tournament that she played with the club Bameso. In the 2004 Junior NORCECA Championship held in Winnipeg Canada, she won the silver medal and the Best Libero award. Lara was viewed as the future for the Libero position for the Dominican Republic at the time she was participating in the warm up matches against a Chinese team. She represented her home country at the 2005 FIVB U20 World Championship, and her team finished ninth when their goal was reaching the fifth position. Karla Echenique
Karla Miguelina Echenique (born May 16, 1986 in Santo Domingo) is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who played as a setter for the Women's National Team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan, but did not qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics. She, and the Dominican Republic team did, however, qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics, where they finished 5th. Personal Life: Karla has a brother and more than one sister. One of her sisters is Michelle Echenique who is a current student at The University of Florida.
