Daddy DJ
Daddy DJ is a French dance act consisting of David Le Roy and Jean-Christophe Belval. Musical career David Le Roy and Jean-Christophe Belval first met at the French sound engineering school in Paris, where Berval was teaching while Le Roy was a student. They got along so well that they soon founded their own music project ''Daddy DJ''. They were soon joined by Charly Merkiled, who originates from Martinique. Their debut self-titled single " Daddy DJ", released in April 2000, became a hit across Europe. It reached 2nd position in the French top 100 for almost 5 months. In Germany the song reached 7th place, while in Switzerland the song reached 22nd place in the charts, in addition to the singles ''The Girl In Red'' (41) and ''Over You'' (96). It was their debut single from their first album ''Let Your Body Talk'' and was first released in France in 1999, and then in many European countries between April and June 2000. The music video was produced as an animated feature. Commercial success The song was a huge success across Europe and has been well received, entering the top ten in France, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Flanders (Belgium) and even topping the singles charts in Sweden, Norway and Wallonia (Belgium). The Official Finnish Charts ( fi, Suomen virallinen lista; sv, Finlands officiella lista) are national record charts in Finland compiled and published by Musiikkituottajat – IFPI Finland. Gabry Ponte
Gabriele Ponte (; born 20 April 1973) is an Italian DJ, remixer, record producer, and radio personality, best known for his membership in the Italian dance band Eiffel 65. With Eiffel 65's rise to fame in the late 1990s, his celebrity status was established. He later went on to produce the Italian hit single "Geordie" (a cover of Fabrizio de André's song by the same name, sung by Italian vocalist Stefania Piovesan), which was rewarded with gold record for selling over 25,000 copies, as well as hits " Time to Rock", "Got to Get", and "La Danza delle Streghe" (English: "The Dance of the Witches"). Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. VG-lista is a Norwegian record chart. It is presented weekly in the newspaper '' VG''. It is considered the primary Norwegian record chart, charting albums and singles from countries and continents around the world. The data are collected by Nielsen Soundscan International and are based on the sales in approximately 100 shops in Norway. The singles chart started as a top 10 chart in week 42 of 1958 and was expanded to a top 20 chart in week 5 of 1995, the same time the albums chart, which started as a top 20 chart in week 1 of 1967 was expanded to a top 40 chart.
