DJ Peters
Donald Scott Peters (born December 12, 1995) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Detroit Tigers organization. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers and in the KBO League for the Lotte Giants. Amateur career Peters attended Glendora High School in Glendora, California. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 36th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and attended Western Nevada College, where he played college baseball. After one year at Western Nevada, he was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 36th round of the 2015 MLB draft, but again did not sign and returned to Western Nevada. In 2016, he was the Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). College Baseball
College baseball is baseball that is played on the intercollegiate level at institutions of higher education. In comparison to football and basketball, college competition in the United States plays a smaller role in developing professional players, as baseball's professional minor leagues are more extensive, with a greater history of supplying players to MLB. Moving directly from high school to the professional level is more common in baseball than in football or basketball. However, if players do opt to enroll at a four-year college to play baseball, they must complete three years to regain professional eligibility, unless they reach age 21 before starting their third year of college. Players who enroll at junior colleges (i.e., two-year institutions) regain eligibility after one year at that level. Mike Mayers
Michael Christopher Mayers (born December 6, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization. He previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels. Amateur career Mayers attended Grove City High School in Grove City, Ohio where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He grew up a fan of the Cleveland Indians. As a junior at Grove City, he was 10–1 with a 1.57 ERA and as a senior he compiled a 4–2 record with a 3.80 ERA. The Oklahoma City Dodgers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Tulsa Drillers are a minor league baseball team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team, which plays in the Texas League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers major-league club. In 1941, John Jorgensen won the first ever California League MVP Award.
