DD Bihar
DD Bihar is a state owned TV channel telecasting from Doordarshan Kendra Bihar. Doordarshan Kendra, Patna was inaugurated on 13 October 1990 with an interim set up converting a Government Quarter located at Chhajubagh, Patna. Adjacent area was demarcated for the construction of a full-fledged studio. The new studio building with all the modern equipment and accessories was finally inaugurated on 15 March 1996. The new Studio Complex at Chhajubagh, Patna started working in March 1999. The Main Studio is having approximately 400 sq. meter areas. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. Prasar Bharati (abbreviated as PB; Hindi: ''Praśar Bharati'', lit. Indian Broadcaster) is India's State media, state-owned public broadcaster, headquartered in New Delhi. It is a Statutory corporation, statutory autonomous body set up by an Act of Parliament and comprises the Doordarshan Television Network and All India Radio, Akashvani All India Radio, which were earlier media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (India), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. DD Free Dish (previously known as DD Direct Plus) is an Indian free-to-air satellite television provider. DD Free Dish DTH service is owned and operated by Public Service Broadcaster Prasar Bharati. Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system. Common SDTV refresh rates are 25, 29.97 and 30 frames per second. Both systems use a 4:3 aspect ratio. Standards that support digital SDTV broadcast include DVB, ATSC, and ISDB.
