DBU Funen
DBU Funen ( da, DBU Fyn) is the local sport governing body, governing body for association football and futsal on Funen and the surrounding isles, Denmark. They are responsible for the governance and development of men's and women's football at all levels in the region. DBU Funen is a member of the Union of Local Football Associations in Denmark (FLU) under the Danish Football Association (DBU) and National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF). The headquarters is located in the western part of Odense. Clubs situated on Funen and surrounding areas, covering the List of postal codes in Denmark#Funen and isles (5000-5999), postal codes between 5000 and 5999 can be accepted as members of DBU Funen. In 2017 the football association consisted of 158 clubs and 28,993 members with Dalum Idræts-Forening, Dalum IF being the largest club membership-wise. FBUs Pokalturnering (unofficial English translation: ''FBU Cup'' or ''Funen Cup'') was a Danish regional knockout association football competition contested annually from 1920 to 1953 by members of the regional football association Funen FA (FBU). Organised by and named after FBU, it was the third regional cup competition introduced on a national level, and the second in the province, after the KBUs Pokalturnering in 1910 and the LFBUs Pokalturnering in 1915. The 1953 season of the cup tournament became the last edition due to the Danish FA's introduction of a new national-wide cup competition in 1954. The Danish Football Union ( da, Dansk Boldspil-Union; DBU) is the governing body of football in Denmark. Thurø Boldklub
Thurø is a small Danish island in the south-east of Funen and belongs to the Svendborg municipality. Thurø is part of the South Funen Archipelago, comprising c. 55 islands altogether. The island had 3,555 inhabitants . Allan Nørager Hansen (born 27 February 1949 in Bogense, Denmark) is a Danish sports leader, and between 2002 and 2014 he has been chairman of the Danish Football Association (DBU). Nyborg is a city in central Denmark, located in Nyborg Municipality on the island of Funen and with a population of 17,525 (2022). It is the easternmost settlement on Funen. Odense Boldklub (; also known as Odense BK or the more commonly used OB) is a Danish professional football club based in the city Odense. Series 1 ( da, Serie 1) is the seventh level in the league system of Danish football. The division is organized by the regional branches of the Danish Football Association (DBU). The division has changed its name on numerous occasions. It has previously been known as B-rækken (up until 1921–22) and Mellemrækken (1947–1984), before settling with the current name of ''Serie 1'' in 1985. The competition The season starts in the spring and ends in the fall, and there is promotion and relegation after each half season.
