D64 Road (Croatia)
D64 is a state road connecting the city of Pazin with D66 state road in Vozilići. The D64 road thus serves as a connection between the central Istria and resorts along the eastern coast of Istria peninsula, including Opatija, Lovran and Ičići, as well as to Brestova ferry port, from which Jadrolinija ferries fly to island of Cres (via D402 state road). The northern terminus of the road also provides a link towards A8 motorway via two interchanges near Pazin - Rogovići and Ivoli. The road is long. The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, a state-owned company. Cres
Cres (; dlm, Crepsa, vec, Cherso, it, Cherso, la, Crepsa, Greek language, Greek: Χέρσος, ''Chersos'') is an Adriatic island in Croatia. It is one of the northern islands in the Kvarner Gulf and can be reached via ferry from Rijeka, the island Krk or from the Istrian peninsula (line Brestova-Porozina). Žminj
Žminj ( it, Gimino) is a small town in Istria, Croatia, 15 km south of Pazin. It has a population of 3,483, and was first mentioned in 1177 as a parish of the Poreč diocese. The town is located on a limestone hill between the Lim valley and the Raša valley, 355 meters above sea level. Its economy is based on farming and livestock breeding. Žminj is located at the intersection of regional roads to Pazin, Kanfanar, Svetvinčenat and Labin. This part of Istria has a number of tourist attractions, landscapes and the remnants of cultural heritage from all ages (such as a tower Citadel in the old town). Pićan
Pićan ( it, Pedena, Chakavian: ''Pićon'', sl, Pičen,) is a village and municipality in the central part of Istria, Croatia, 12 km southeast of Pazin; elevation 360 m. The chief occupations are agriculture and livestock breeding. It is situated on the D64 state road (Pazin-Kršan-Vozilići). There is a railway station on the former Lupoglav – Raša railway. History In Roman times, a military stronghold called Petina was located here. Gračišće
Gračišće ( it, Gallignana) is a village and municipality of Istria County in Croatia. Geography The municipality is located in the interior of the Istrian peninsula. The Gračišće village which is also the administrative centre of Gračišće municipality is located about east of the county seat Pazin, on the road to Kršan and Vozilići. Cerovlje ( it, Cerreto) is a village and a municipality in Istria, Croatia. Description Many ancient towns and decayed castles ( Belaj, Posert, Paz, Gologorica, Gradinje) can be found in its territory. Almost every town or castle in Cerovlje is on top of a hill, from where they could see enemies from a farther distance.
