Dănuț Dragomir Șomcherechi (born 10 April 1973) is a Romanian former football player and currently a manager. He made his Liga I debut on 11 March 2000 for Argeș Pitești, in a 0–1 defeat against Rapid București. Șomcherechi played most of his career for Baia Mare (144 matches) and for Argeș Pitești (128 matches), but also played for teams such as: Oțelul Galați, Universitatea Cluj Fotbal Club Universitatea Cluj (), commonly known as Universitatea Cluj or simply as U Cluj, is a Romanian professional association football, football club based in the city of Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, that competes in the Liga I, the first ... or Progresul București. Baia Sprie
Baia Sprie (; hu, Felsőbánya, german: Mittelstadt) is a town in Maramureș County, northern Romania. Baia Sprie is situated at a distance of from Baia Mare. The town administers three villages: Chiuzbaia (''Kisbánya''), Satu Nou de Sus (''Felsőújfalu''), and Tăuții de Sus (''Giródtótfalu''). Neighbouring communities are the city of Baia Mare and the villages of Groși, Dumbrăvița, Șisești, and Desești. The town was one of the most important mining centers in north-western Romania, exploitation of gold and silver being mentioned in documents written in the Middle Ages, during the time when the Transylvanian Saxons, Saxons colonized the region.
