Dâmbovnic
The Dâmbovnic is a right tributary of the river Neajlov in Romania. It discharges into the Neajlov in Obedeni. Its length is and its basin size is . Geography The river flows through four different counties: Argeș, Dâmbovița, Teleorman and Giurgiu. It flows from North-West to South-East and forms near the high plains of Pitești, where it receives residual water from Arpechim. Then, it passes through the Găvanu-Burdea Plain and finally ends into the Neajlov River, near Clejani. It is a permanent river. It flows through the villages Bradu, Suseni, Pădureni, Gălășești, Rociu, Bârlogu, Negrași, Mozăceni, Slobozia, Șelaru, Vătași, Drăghinești, Gratia, Cartojani, Sadina, Roata de Jos, Mârșa and Uiești. Mârșa
Mârșa is a commune located in north-west Giurgiu County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Mârșa. History The etymology is lost in time. The Romanian word ''mârșă'', meaning "lure" or "bait", has probably nothing to do with the name origin. Rociu
Rociu is a commune in Argeș County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Gliganu de Jos, Gliganu de Sus, Rociu and Șerbănești. History The oldest relics come from the Bronze Age, from Șerbănești village. Then, much later, the village Gliganu is mentioned, on June 12, 1564. The village belonged to a boyar from Rucăr. According to the same source, all four villages are mentioned after 1830. In the Communist period, the commune received a strong impulse for economic growth: A 25 km long irrigation canal was built to drain water from the Argeș River.http://www.anif.ro/.../20090818-revista%20ANIF%20nr.2%20-%202009.pdf Rociu received special attention because there was built a farm of the Communist Party. Negrași Daffodil Meadow
The Negrași Daffodil Meadow ( ro, Poiana cu narcise Negrași) is a protected area near Negrași Commune, in Argeș County, Muntenia, Romania. It was declared as a natural reservation on June 24, 1966. Position and accessibility The Daffodil Meadow is situated in the southern part of Argeș County, in the Găvanu-Burdea Plains, near the confluence of Dâmbovnic River and its tributary, Mozacu. It is a remote, unpolluted area. It is located at from Piteşti, in the area of Negrași Commune, at about from Rociu. The access route is the county road DJ503. It is usually closed in winter. Argeș County () is a county ('' județ'') of Romania, in Muntenia, with the capital city at Pitești. The landforms can be split into 3 distinctive parts.
