Dániel Zsóri
Dániel Zsóri (born 14 October 2000) is a Romanian-born Hungarian professional footballer who plays as a forward for MTK Budapest. Early life Zsóri was born in Oradea, Romania on 14 October 2000. He grew up in Satu Nou, Mișca Commune in Arad County. When he was 10 years old, he moved to Békéscsaba to play in the Békéscsaba 1912 Előre youth academy. Zsóri holds dual Romanian and Hungarian citizenship. He has stated that he would prefer to play for the Hungary national team over the Romania national team if given the option. Club career Debrecen Debrecen signed Zsóri in September 2017. He was promoted into their senior squad in 2018–19 by manager András Herczeg, who selected him for his senior bow in the Magyar Kupa against Teskánd on 31 October 2018. NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams. In 2013 the format was changed and there is one division again with 16 teams, and then 20 teams from 2015. Nagyerdei Stadion is an all-seater asymmetric football stadium in Debrecen, Hungary and home to Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club (the seats behind the goals are 'Vario' or 'Rail' seats to facilitate safe standing at domestic matches). The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, "National Championship"), also known as NB I, is the top level of the Hungarian football league system. The league is officially named OTP Bank Liga after its title sponsor OTP Bank. UEFA currently ranks the league 28th in Europe. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. The Hungarian Cup ( hu, Magyar Kupa) is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association, the ''Magyar Labdarúgó Szövetség,'' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League ( hu, Nemzeti Bajnokság).
