Dániel Pauman
Dániel Pauman (born 13 August 1986) is a Hungarian canoer. He won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the K-4 1000 m event (with Zoltán Kammerer, Dávid Tóth and Tamás Kulifai). In June 2015, he competed in the inaugural European Games, for Hungary in canoe sprint, more specifically, men's K-4 1000m, again with Zoltan Kammerer, Dávid Tóth, and Tamás Kulifai. Vác
Vác (; german: Waitzen; sk, Vacov; yi, ווייצען) is a town in Pest county in Hungary with approximately 35,000 inhabitants. The archaic spelling of the name is ''Vácz''. Location Vác is located north of Budapest on the eastern bank of the Danube river, below the bend where the river changes course and flows south. The town is seated at the foot of the Naszály Mountain in the foothills of the Carpathians. Modern Vác Vác is a commercial center as well as a popular summer resort for citizens of Budapest. The Vác Cathedral, built 1761–1777, was modelled after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. The episcopal palace houses a museum for Roman and medieval artifacts. Zoltán Kammerer
Zoltán Kammerer (born 10 March 1978) is a Hungarian sprint canoeist who has competed since the mid-1990s. Competing in five Summer Olympics, he won three gold medals (K-2 500 m: 2000, K-4 1000 m: 2000, 2004) and a silver medal (K-4 1000 m: 2012). Kammerer also twelve medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with three golds (K-2 1000 m: 2006, K-4 500 m: 1997, K-4 1000 m: 1999), four silvers (K-2 500 m: 2009, K-2 1000 m: 2010, K-4 1000 m: 2001, 2003), and five bronzes (K-2 500 m: 2002, 2006, 2007; K-2 1000 m: 2007, K-4 500 m: 1999). A member of the Győr club, he is 182 cm (6'0) tall and weighs 86 kg (190 lbs). At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Kammerer carried the Hungarian flag at the opening ceremonies. The Hungarian Order of Merit ( hu, Magyar Érdemrend) is the fourth highest State Order of Hungary. Founded in 1991, the order is a revival of an original order founded in 1946 and abolished in 1949. Its origins, however, can be traced to the Order of Merit of the Kingdom of Hungary which existed from 1922 until 1946. In 2011 its official name changed from Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary to Hungarian Order of Merit in accordance with the new Hungarian Constitution. Canoe Sprint At The 2015 European Games
Canoeing was contested at the 2015 European Games between 14 and 16 June 2015. No canoe slalom events were held in Baku. A total of fifteen medal events were held, three for men only in canoe, and 12 events in kayak across both genders, all on flat water. Despite the sport being described in official literature as ''canoe sprint'', in line with Olympic practice, a canoe marathon, a 5000-metre non-Olympic event, was included for each gender. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) is restricted to one boat per event, a maximum of fifteen boats, and therefore a maximum of 26 qualified athletes.
