Abnormality (behavior)
Abnormality (or dysfunctional behavior) is a behavioral characteristic assigned to those with conditions that are regarded as rare or dysfunctional. Behavior is considered to be abnormal when it is atypical or out of the ordinary, consists of undesirable behavior, and results in impairment in the individual's functioning. Dysfunctional Family
A dysfunctional family is a family in which conflict, misbehavior, and often child neglect or abuse and sometimes even all of the above on the part of individual parents occur continuously and regularly, leading other members to accommodate such actions. Children sometimes grow up in such families with the understanding that such a situation is normal. Dysfunctional families are primarily a result of two adults, one typically overtly abusive and the other codependent, and may also be affected by substance abuse or other forms of addiction, or sometimes by an untreated mental illness. Parents having grown up in a dysfunctional family may over-correct or emulate their own parents. In some cases, the dominant parent will abuse or neglect their children and the other parent will not object, misleading a child to assume blame. Perceptions and historical context A common misperception of dysfunctional families is the mistaken belief that the parents are on the verge of separation ...

Dysfunction (album)
''Dysfunction'' is the second studio album by American rock band Staind, released on April 13, 1999 by Flip Records and Elektra Records. It is the band's first studio album released on a record label. Three singles were released for the album: " Just Go", "Mudshovel", and "Home". Staind self-released '' Tormented'' in 1996. On October 23, 1997, the band met Limp Bizkit vocalist Fred Durst. Durst was initially appalled by ''Tormented'' graphic artwork, and refused to sign Staind, but changed his mind after being impressed with the band's performance. Durst signed the band to Flip/Elektra and helped the band record ''Dysfunction''. Staind promoted ''Dysfunction'' through touring and sampler cassettes. Continuing the dark alternative metal and nu metal sound displayed on ''Tormented'', ''Dysfunction'' features singing and some occasional screaming along with angry or depressing lyrics inspired by singer Aaron Lewis' life, with a noticeable increase of melodic sections.
