BC Dynamo Saint Petersburg was a Russian professional basketball club based in Saint Petersburg, that existed for two seasons. The club was founded in 2004 and dissolved in 2006. In the 2004–05 season, the club won the FIBA Europe League. History 2004–05 season Dynamo Saint Petersburg was created during the 2004 summer when Vladimir Rodionov, owner of Avtodor Saratov, transferred Saratov's place in the first-tier Russian Super League to the club, along with some of its best players such as Vladimir Veremeenko. The club - which had the aim of entering the Super League top four and qualifying for European competitions such as the ULEB Cup and EuroLeague - recruited coach David Blatt and players like Kelly McCarty, Ed Cota, Ognjen Aškrabić, Jón Stefansson and David Bluthenthal (who left after two months). FC Dynamo Saint Petersburg
FC Dynamo Saint Petersburg is a Russian football club from Saint Petersburg, in Northwest Russia. Founded in 1922, the club was one of the oldest in the city. It plays in the third-tier Russian Football National League 2. They were a regular in the Soviet Top League until relegation in 1963. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, their highest status was in the second-level Russian National Football League for several seasons, and the fifth place in the league is their greatest achievement. In July 2015, the club was purchased by Boris Rotenberg. In June 2018, the team moved to Sochi, becoming PFC Sochi; in Saint Petersburg there remained Dynamo youth team. In April 2019 Dynamo was reestablished by Clubs' Veterans on resources of FC LAZ Luga. Since August 2021, Chinese trucks manufacturer SAIC Iveco Hongyan is the main sponsor. Hockey Club Dinamo Saint Petersburg (russian: link=no, Хоккейный клуб "Динамо" Санкт-Петербург), is a Russian professional ice hockey club based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. They are members of the Supreme Hockey League (VHL) and they have a farm team in the Junior Hockey League (MHL) as well as a women's team in the Zhenskaya Hockey League (ZhHL), called Dinamo-Neva Saint Petersburg. Their main sponsor is the Wingas company. History The club was established in 1946, but never reached over the 5th position in the Soviet Championship League. During the Soviet era, Dinamo belonged to the Ministry of Internal Affairs sports club system and consisted of Leningrad police officers. In 1971, the club was dissolved and reestablished in 2013 as a junior hockey club. The Junior Hockey League (JHL) (russian: Молодежная Хоккейная Лига (МХЛ), Molodezhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga), sometimes translated as the ''Minor'' or ''Youth'' Hockey League, is a major junior ice hockey league in Eurasia, founded in 2009. It currently consists of 33 teams from 4 countries. Currently, all teams but one are subsidiaries (feeder teams) for their respective KHL or VHL professional counterparts. A player's age cannot be older than 20. The Kharlamov Cup, named after star ice hockey player Valeri Kharlamov, is awarded annually as the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia's official Junior Championship, following a 16-team playoff at the end of the regular season.
