Dynamite Düx
''Dynamite Düx'' is a beat 'em up video game developed by Sega AM2 and released by Sega for arcades in 1988. Produced by Yu Suzuki and with music composed by Hiroshi Kawaguchi, the game uses the Sega System 16 arcade board, the same board used for ''Golden Axe'' and ''Altered Beast''. It was ported to the Sega Master System, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum platforms in the following year. A Mega Drive version was planned but never released. A girl named Lucy is kidnapped by the evil Sorcerer Achacha, and the player's mission is to rescue her. The game received positive reviews from critics, with ''Sinclair User'' magazine giving it the 1988 award for Most Original Game of the Year. Gameplay The player controls one of two bow tie-wearing cartoon ducks named Bin (blue) and Pin (red). Sega AM2
previously known as is a video game development team within the Japanese multinational video game developer Sega. Yu Suzuki, who had previously developed arcade games for Sega including ''Hang-On'' and ''Out Run'', was the first manager of the department. AM2's first game produced was 1992's ''Virtua Racing'', followed by the highly popular ''Virtua Fighter (video game), Virtua Fighter'' and ''Daytona USA (video game), Daytona USA''. Through the remainder of the 1990s, they developed more arcade titles and focused on fighting and racing games. AM2 was placed under the management of CSK Research Institute in 2000, and a year later became SEGA-AM2 Co., Ltd. The series takes place in a medieval fantasy world where several heroes have the task of recovering the legendary Golden Axe, the mainstay element of the series. ''Toki'' is a run and gun platform game released in arcades in Japan in 1989 by TAD Corporation. It was published in North America by Fabtek. Designed by Akira Sakuma, the game has tongue-in-cheek humor mixed with the action. The player controls an enchanted ape who must battle hordes of jungle monsters with energy balls from his mouth. The ultimate goal is to destroy the evil wizard who cast a spell on the title protagonist; thereby transforming him from an ape back into a human, and rescuing the kidnapped princess.
