Dylan Sikura
Dylan Sikura (born June 1, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently under with Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the sixth round, 178th overall, in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Before turning professional, Sikura played college ice hockey with Northeastern University, where he was named to the AHCA East First-Team All-American and the Hockey East First All-Star team. Playing career Sikura played for the Aurora Tigers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League for three years before committing to play for Northeastern University in February 2014. Aurora ( 2021 population: 62,057) is a town in central York Region in the Greater Toronto Area, within the Golden Horseshoe of Southern Ontario, Canada. Hobey Baker Award
The Hobey Baker Award is an annual award given to the top National Collegiate Athletic Association men's ice hockey player. It has been awarded 41 times. It is named for Hall of Famer Hobey Baker, who played college hockey at Princeton University and died shortly after World War I. The original statue for the award was commissioned and awarded by the Decathlon Athletic Club (now defunct) in Bloomington, Minnesota. The model for the award trophy was Steve Christoff, who played for the University of Minnesota and in the National Hockey League. 2021–22 NHL Season
The 2021–22 NHL season was the 105th season of operation (104th season of play) of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league expanded to 32 teams with the addition of the Seattle Kraken. The league had an October-to-April regular season scheduling and a full 82-game regular season for the first time since the 2018–19 NHL season as the previous two NHL seasons were shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season began on October 12. On December 22, all games were suspended league-wide through at least December 26 (officially termed as an extension of the regularly scheduled Christmas break), in order to reconcile COVID-19 outbreaks that had impacted a large number of teams and resulted in various game postponements. The Colorado Eagles are a professional minor league ice hockey team based in Loveland, Colorado. The Eagles play in the Pacific Division of the American Hockey League. Brandon Pirri (born April 10, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL). He was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round (59th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Pirri has also played for the Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks, and Vegas Golden Knights. Playing career Pirri committed to a collegiate career with RPI Engineers in the ECAC. He was invited to take part in Canada's 2011 national junior team selection camp, but was not included on the final roster. Pirri was recalled by the Chicago Blackhawks after the 2012–13 NHL lockout ended. Erik Gustafsson (born 14 March 1992) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
