Dylan Mulholland
Petty Officer Dylan "Dutchy" Mulholland, MG is a fictional character in the Australia TV drama Sea Patrol. His character is a replacement for the character Pete "Buffer" Tomaszewski, whose last appearance was in the final episode of season three. Dutchy is portrayed by Conrad Coleby. "Dutchy", as he is known as by the crew, is a veteran of the Gulf War and was awarded the Medal for Gallantry (MG) after a boarding party incident, which ended with his Boarding Officer killed, which explains his protective behavior towards Lieutenant Kate McGregor, HMAS Hammersley's XO and Dutchy's new boarding officer. Sea Patrol (TV Series)
''Sea Patrol'' is an Australian television drama that ran from 2007 to 2011, set on board HMAS ''Hammersley'', a fictional patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). The series focused on the ship and the lives of its crew members. Despite similarities in setting and content, this series is not a follow-on to the 1979 series, ''Patrol Boat''. At the start of the second season, ''Sea Patrol'' saw an upgrade from the to a newer boat. The first season debuted on 5 July 2007 on the Nine Network, who invested $15 million into the programme. The Australian Defence Medal is an Australian military decoration which recognises current and former Australian Defence Force personnel who completed an initial enlistment period, or four years' service. It was established on 20 March 2006; however, it recognises qualifying efficient service of current and former Australian Defence Force Regular and Reserve personnel, including National Servicemen, who have served since 3 September 1945.
