Dyaisha Fair (born August 7, 2001) is an American professional basketball player who is a free agent. Fair was the 16th overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, 2024 draft. She played college basketball at Syracuse Orange women's basketball, Syracuse. She is currently third place all time List of NCAA Division I women's basketball career scoring leaders, NCAA Division I women's basketball career scoring leaders and first place all time minutes played in NCAA Division I women's basketball. On July 8, 2024 it was announced that she would be playing for the Maccabi Haifa women’s basketball team. Early life Fair attended Edison Technical School, Edison Tech High School in Rochester, New York. In her senior season she averaged 33.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game. The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) is an American professional basketball league. It is composed of twelve teams, all based in the United States. The league was founded on April 22, 1996, as the women's counterpart to the National Basketball Association (NBA), and league play started in 1997. The regular season is played from May to September, with the All Star game being played midway through the season in July (except in Olympic years) and the WNBA Finals at the end of September until the beginning of October. Five WNBA teams have direct NBA counterparts and normally play in the same arena. They play in the same arena as funding is sparse due to lack of spectators.
