Dušan Alimpijević
Dušan Alimpijević ( sr-cyr, Душан Алимпијевић; born 9 March 1986) is a Serbian basketball coach who is currently head coach of Frutti Extra Bursaspor of the Turkish Super League (BSL). Coaching career Early years Alimpijević coached Vojvodina Srbijagas from Novi Sad and Spartak from Subotica of the Basketball League of Serbia. In 2017, he coached FMP for the 2016–17 Serbia Super League and finished on the second place. Crvena zvezda On 21 July 2017 Alimpijević was named a head coach of the Belgrade team Crvena zvezda. He made his Adriatic League debut as head coach on 1 October in an 88–77 home win over the Mornar Bar. On 13 October he made his EuroLeague debut in a 76–78 road loss from the Žalgiris Kaunas. In the EuroLeague Round 2 on 20 October 2017 he made his first EuroLeague win in a home game against FC Barcelona Lassa. Basketball Club Žalgiris ( lt, Krepšinio klubas Žalgiris) is a professional basketball team that is based in Kaunas, Lithuania, and competes domestically in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL, Lithuanian Basketball League). Founded in 1944, it is one of the oldest teams in the EuroLeague. ABA League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. The 2016–17 Basketball League of Serbia season is the 11th season of the Basketball League of Serbia, the highest professional basketball league in Serbia. It is also 73rd national championship played by Serbian clubs inclusive of nation's previous incarnations as Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro. The first half of the season consists of 14 teams and 182–game regular season (26 games for each of the 14 teams) began on October 8, 2016, and ended on April 12, 2017. The Basketball League of Serbia ( sr, Кошаркашка лига Србије, Košarkaška liga Srbije; abbr. КЛС or KLS), is a top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, consists of two stages: the First League which has 16 teams and the SuperLeague which has 8 teams.
