Nesting is a parish in the Shetland Islands, Scotland. It includes a part of the east Shetland Mainland, measuring about , along the seaboard from Gletness to Lunna Ness, and also the island of Whalsay and the Out Skerries. The coast is deeply indented by voes and headlands. The arable land comprises only about , the remainder being mostly open moorland. The total area is given as . This includes the ancient parish of Lunnasting in the North and the island parish of Whalsay to the east, which were added to Nesting in 1891. Before that, the ancient parishes of North Nesting and South Nesting were merged. Baxter Dury (born 18 December 1971) is an English indie musician, originally signed to Rough Trade Records. Early life Baxter Dury is the son of Ian Dury and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Rathmell. As a young boy he appeared on the front cover of Dury's album ''New Boots and Panties!!''. He left school at the age of fourteen. The Ian Dury biopic ''Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll'' (2010) features Bill Milner as Baxter. Career In 2002 Dury's ''Oscar Brown EP'' was "Record of the Week" in ''NME''. In 2014 he signed a new recording contract with PIAS subsidiary Le Label and released a new album ''It's A Pleasure''. In October 2017 Dury previewed the releases of his first album for Heavenly Recordings with the release of the single "Miami" alongside a video produced by Roger Sargent. In March 2019 Dury appeared on the Fat White Family single "Tastes Good With The Money", also appearing in the video. Graham Dury
Graham Dury (born 1962 in Clifton, Nottingham) is a British cartoonist. He is known for his work with '' Viz'', having contributed to the magazine from its early years. He co-conceived and personally created '' The Fat Slags'', one of the magazine's most famous strips. Dury earned a degree in botany in Nottingham, and then enrolled in a PhD programme at the University of Leicester. While genetically engineering tomato and tobacco plants for disease and drought resistance, he was the first cartoonist to be offered a full-time job at ''Viz'' by co-creator Chris Donald in April 1988, when royalties began to make the magazine a profitable business. However, Dury had been contributing to ''Viz'' since as early as 1985, often delivering his cartoons by hand to Donald's house. Early creations, Donald noted, tended to have names that rhymed such as ''Tristam Banks and his Jocular Pranks'' or ''Albert Gordon the Traffic Warden''. Guy Alexander Ingram Dury (4 December 1895 – 10 August 1976) was an English cricketer and British Army officer. He served in both world wars with the London Regiment and the Grenadier Guards, winning the Military Cross during the First World War. He was a first-class cricketer who played for the British Army cricket team and the Free Foresters. Early life and World War I The son of the first-class cricketer Theodore Dury and his wife Helen Isabella Ingram, Dury was born at Harrow-on-the-Hill. He was educated at Harrow School, where he played for the school cricket team in 1913 and 1914. He enlisted in the 4th Battalion, London Regiment in January 1915 as a second lieutenant. He served during World War I, firstly with the London Regiment where he gained the rank of temporary lieutenant in September 1915. John Dury
John Dury (1596 in Edinburgh – 1680 in Kassel) was a Scottish Calvinist minister and an intellectual of the English Civil War period. He made efforts to re-unite the Calvinist and Lutheran wings of Protestantism, hoping to succeed when he moved to Kassel in 1661, but he did not accomplish this. He was also a preacher, pamphleteer, and writer.
