Durdanto Dhaka
The Durdanto Dhaka ( Dhakaiya/ bn, দুর্দান্ত ঢাকা) is a franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), representing the country's Dhaka City, Dhaka. The team was originally established in 2012 for the inaugural BPL season as the Dhaka Gladiators and won both the 2012 and 2013 editions of the tournament. The Gladiators were one of the teams dissolved in 2013 after the second edition. The franchise was sold to BEXIMCO Group and rebranded as Dhaka Dynamites. For the 2015 edition of the BPL, the team were coached by former South African cricketer Mickey Arthur, and captained by Kumar Sangakkara. Bangladeshi player Nasir Hossain was selected as the "icon" player of the team. On 16 November 2019, Jamuna Bank bought the rights to the team and renamed it to Dhaka Platoon. The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) ( bn, বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লীগ) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league consisting of seven franchises. The BPL is one of the three professional cricket leagues in Bangladesh. It is the 16th most attended premier league in the world. In winter, each team faces the other twice in the league stage. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the top four teams advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination game, and two qualifier games culminating in the Championship game, between the winner of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2. The Bangladesh Premier League was formed in 2011 by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, after the suspension of its predecessor organisation, 2009/10 National Cricket League Twenty20. Off spin is a type of finger spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called an off spinner. Off spinners are right-handed spin bowlers who use their fingers to spin the ball. Alexander Ian Ross (born 17 April 1992) is an Australian cricketer. The son of a cricket coach, Ross started playing domestic cricket for South Australia in 2012, having moved to the state in 2009 with his father.
