Durai Vaiyapuri
Durai Vaiko ( ta, துரை வையாபுரி) (born 1972) is a businessman and son of Vaiko, founder of Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK). He was appointed as the MDMK chief secretary of the party, one of the party's star campaigners and leads the internet wing for MDMK. He also owns V Realty Private Limited, a construction firm. His political career came into intensive reach when Vaiko contested the Lok Sabha election from Virudhunagar constituency in 2014. He graduated with an MBA. He was married to Geetha on 29 November 1998. Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam
The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam ( 'Renaissance Dravidian Progressive Federation') is a political party active in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry (union territory), Puducherry. It was established by Vaiko in 1994 after he left the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. History Formation Vaiko was a member of Rajya Sabha and a party activist of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). Vaiko grew in the party from his student days and actively participated in the party agitations and courted imprisonment several times. He was elected thrice to the Rajya Sabha. In 1994, he was forced out of the parent body as he was seen as a threat to DMK chief Karunanidhi's son, M.K. Stalin. Vaiyapuri Gopalsamy, better known as Vaiko, is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India from Tamil Nadu. He is the founder and General Secretary of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), a political party active mainly in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He was earlier elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India from Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. Birth Vaiko was born in Kalingapatty near Sankarankovil, Madras Presidency. Education He graduated with a Gold Medal in his Bachelor of arts degree in economics from St. Xavier's College, Palayamkottai and masters from Presidency College, Chennai.
