Duoc UC
Duoc UC is an accredited, non-profit private institute of higher education in Chile. It was founded under the umbrella of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 1968, which provides technical and professional degrees through practical and industry-focused programs. Nowadays it has 17 campuses, more than 94,000 students and 3,169 teachers. Its rector is Ricardo Paredes, Ph.D. History Duoc UC was founded in 1968 under the name "Worker Farmer University Department" in order to give free education to students from lower social backgrounds (children of workers and farmers in particular). This practice was already being conducted by the University of Chile and especially the State Technical University, which was immersed in the era of university reform university classrooms opened to workers and low-income students who could study technical courses at universities despite economic shortcomings. Design Factory (DF) or Aalto Design Factory (ADF) is one of the three factories of Aalto University. The stated purpose of the Design Factory is to be a constantly developing environment for learning, teaching, research and industry co-operation related to product development and design. The director of Design Factory is professor Kalevi Ekman. The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), founded in 1944, is an accrediting organization of colleges, schools and universities in the United States. The organization establishes standards for graduate and undergraduate degrees. Member institutions complete periodic peer review processes to become, and remain, accredited. NASAD accreditation should not be confused with regional accreditation. Standards for accreditation The National Association for Schools of Art and Design has stringent criteria for accrediting schools.
