Duke Of Genoa
Duke of Genoa was a subsidiary title of the King of Sardinia. It was first awarded in 1815 to Prince Charles Felix of Savoy, who became the King of Sardinia in 1821. Upon the death of King Charles Felix in 1831, the title was given to Prince Ferdinando, the second son of King Charles Albert of Sardinia. The title became extinct in 1996 on the death of Prince Eugenio, a great-grandson of King Charles Albert. Prince Filiberto of Savoy, 4th Duke of Genoa (''Filiberto Lodovico Massimiliano Emanuele Maria''; 10 March 1895 – 7 September 1990) was the fourth Duke of Genoa and a member of the House of Savoy. Born in Turin, Prince Filiberto was the second son of Prince Tommaso, Duke of Genoa and his wife Princess Isabella of Bavaria (1863–1924). On 22 September 1904 he was given the title Duke of Pistoia. Prince Filiberto pursued a career in the Royal Italian Army achieving the rank of General. Bordighera (; lij, A Bordighea, locally ) is a town and ''comune'' in the Province of Imperia, Liguria (Italy). Geography Bordighera is located from the land border between Italy and France, and it is possible to see the French coast with a naked eye from the town. Prince Ferdinando of Savoy, 3rd Duke of Genoa (''Ferdinando Umberto Filippo Adalberto''; 21 April 1884 – 24 June 1963) was the third Duke of Genoa and a member of the House of Savoy. He was an admiral in the Royal Italian Navy.
