George Duke
George M. Duke (January 12, 1946 – August 5, 2013) was an American keyboardist, composer, singer-songwriter and record producer. He worked with numerous artists as arranger, music director, writer and co-writer, record producer and as a professor of music. He first made a name for himself with the album '' The Jean-Luc Ponty Experience with the George Duke Trio''. He was known primarily for 32 solo albums, of which '' A Brazilian Love Affair'' from 1979 was his most popular, as well as for his collaborations with other musicians, particularly Frank Zappa. Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. The first part covers her desire to be a star, and to leave behind her old life to become a movie star. The second part of the song is also a reworking of the song " Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer" from the 1971 album ''Where I'm Coming From''. He was best known for his collaborations with composer Burt Bacharach and his association with Dionne Warwick.
