Duje (song)
"Duje" (; ) is a song by Kosovo-Albanian singer Albina Kelmendi and five members of her family. Composed by Enis Mullaj with lyrics written by Eriona Rushiti, it is an Albanian-language pop song that tells the tale of a family's struggle to stay united through a difficult time. The song was released as a single on Spotify on 29 December 2022 and on Apple Music on 20 March 2023. The artists competed with "Duje" in the 61st edition of and won the televote of the competition, which resulted in them representing Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. A revamped version of the song was released as a single for streaming and digital download on 10 March 2023, accompanied by a music video. Albina Kelmendi
Albina Kelmendi (; born 27 January 1998) is a Kosovo-Albanian singer and songwriter. She rose to fame after placing as the runner-up on the fourth series of ''The Voice of Albania'' in 2014. Kelmendi and her family represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song " Duje". Early life Albina Kelmendi was born in Pejë, Kosovo (then part of FR Yugoslavia). She studied clarinet and piano at the Halit Kasapolli music school in her hometown, and started performing together with her family under the name Family Band. Career 2014–2021: ''The Voice of Albania'' and Top Fest In 2014, she auditioned for the fourth series of ''The Voice of Albania''. After getting chair turns from all four coaches, she joined Team Elsa. She finished as the runner-up of the season. Elsa Lila (; born 4 July 1981) is an Albanian singer. Life and career Elsa Lila was born on 4 July 1981 in Tirana, Albania. Her father was a singer of the former Albanian state choir, while her mother was a violinist, so both of her parents raised her close to the music and the theatre, giving her a great love for the arts. Lila had shown her singing and acting talents ever since she was a child in Albanian state television shows, and won the Albanian national song contest two years in a row while she was in her teenage years. She's also known for originating the role of Satine in the Albanian-language version of the musical '' Moulin Rouge''. In 2014, Lila was a judge on the fourth season of ''The Voice of Albania''. The (OGAE) () is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and beyond. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen. Four non-profit competitions are organised by the OGAE every year to promote national popular music to Eurovision fans around the world.
