Luis Armando Lozada Cruz (born September 8, 1971), known by his stage name Vico C, is an American rapper and record producer. Regarded as the founding father of reggaeton, Vico C has played an influential role in the development of Latin American hip hop and urban music. Fito Olivares
Rodolfo Olivares (born April 19, 1947 in Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico), known as Fito Olivares is a Mexican cumbia musician. He is a son of María Cristina Olivares and Mucio Olivares. He spent his childhood on a ranch of Rechinadores, Tamaulipas. In the school of this ranch he learned to play the harmonica that his father bought him. His father Mucio Olivares was a good saxophonist and they started practicing with the saxophone together when he was 12. He graduated from the commercial academy in 1961 and began to work keeping accounts of some businesses. He began to play professionally in 1963, at the age of 16, in Camargo, Tamaulipas. Career With a local group in 1962 he was invited by Abel Martínez, Bernardo Gómez and Noé Santos to be part of the Duet Estrella in Ciudad Miguel Alemán, Tam. ''Azúcar'' is an album by the Cuban band Los Van Van. It was released in the United States in 1994, the band's first album in eight years to be widely distributed. Due to the U.S. embargo, the band did not tour behind the album until 1996. Production The album was recorded in 1992. Roger Troutman (November 29, 1951 – April 25, 1999), also known as Roger, was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist and the founder of the band Zapp who helped spearhead the funk movement and heavily influenced West Coast hip hop due to the scene's heavy sampling of his music over the years. Troutman was well known for his use of the talk box, a device that is connected to an instrument (frequently a keyboard, but most commonly a guitar) to create different vocal effects. Nu Flavor is an R&B quartet from Long Beach, California consisting of Jacob Ceniceros (baritone), Anthony DaCosta (tenor), Rigo Luna (alto), and Frank Pangelinan, Jr. (tenor/lead). History Nu Flavor formed in 1994. Under their manager's direction, they created a cover of the Journey hit " Open Arms", and eventually the recording found its way to Reprise Records president Howie Klein. After singing a cappella in his office, he signed the group on the spot. Shortly thereafter, Los Angeles KIBB radio night guy, Rick Hummer, was given the group's "Open Arms" demo and began spinning it during his dedication show.
