Solamente Tú (album)
''Solamente tú'' (''Only You'') is the eighth studio album by Regional Mexican band Duelo. It was released on April 16, 2010 by Fonovisa Records. The songs are mostly inspired by disappointment in love. Musically, the album drew inspiration from country rock and Americana while incorporating the band’s signature norteño style. The album received positive reviews, commending Duelo's ability to sing about romantic love, instead of entering the fashion of contemporary groups that perform ''narcocorridos''. The album went to number-one in the United States, topping the ''Billboards Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums charts, and reaching the top forty in Mexico. The first two singles from the album, "Soy como no soy" and "Te odio y te amo", were both hits reaching the top forty in the Regional Mexican Airplay chart. ''Solamente Tú'' received a Latin Grammy Award nomination for Best Norteño Album. Background Duelo released their eighth album ''Solamente tú'' on April 16, 2 ...

Norteño (music)
''Norteño'' or ''Norteña'' (, ''northern''), also ''música norteña'', is a genre of Regional Mexican music. The music is most often based on duple and triple metre and its lyrics often deal with socially relevant topics, although there are also many norteño love songs. The accordion and the bajo sexto are traditional norteño's most characteristic instruments. Norteña music developed in the late 19th century, as a mixture between local Mexican music and Austrian-Czech-origin folk music. The genre is popular in both Mexico and the United States, especially among the Mexican and Mexican-American community, and it has become popular in other Spanish-speaking countries as far as Colombia and Chile. Tejano Music Groups
Tejanos (, ; singular: ''Tejano/a''; Spanish for "Texan", originally borrowed from the Caddo ''tayshas'') are the residents of the state of Texas who are culturally descended from the Mexican population of Tejas and Coahuila that lived in the region prior to it becoming what is now known as the state of Texas before it became a U.S. state in 1845. The term is also sometimes applied to all Texans of Mexican descent. The original word Tejano, with a "J" not an "X', comes from the indigenous Caddo people's language, from the word ''tayshas'', in which the word means "friend" or "ally", a title given to the indigenous population that moved northward by early Aztec and Spanish rulers and combined forces, including, but not limited to, the Lipan N'de Apache People, Coahuiltecas, and Huasteca indigenous people from Zacatecas. The Aztec and Spanish combined forces (the early Casta foundations of the Mexican government) drove original Tejanos northward for nearly 500 years. Fleeing ...
