Knud Leif Thomsen (2 September 1924 – 14 October 2003) was a Danish film director and screenwriter. He directed 14 films between 1960 and 1975. His film ''Duellen'' was entered into the 12th Berlin International Film Festival. Two years later, his film ''School for Suicide'' was entered into the 14th Berlin International Film Festival. Vera Gebuhr
Vera Margrethe Gebuhr (15 May 1916 – 22 December 2014) was a Danish film, television and stage actress. Gebuhr was most noted for her portrayal of the snobbish neurotic head saleswoman Miss Jørgensen in the popular television series ''Matador (Danish TV series), Matador''. She trained at the Royal Danish Theatre school from 1937 to 1939 and debuted at the Folketeatret, Copenhagen, Folketeatret, working there until 1964. She played her first lead film role as the scheming maid in the 1943 melodrama ''Møllen''. Gebuhr appeared in 65 films between 1937 and 2005, as well as made numerous appearances on Danish television series. Gebuhr married twice: to journalist Pallet Fønss and civil engineer Thomas Purl. In 1999, she received the Preben Neergaard honorary award. She died in her home at the age of 98 on 22 December 2014. Viggo Elith William Pio (3 July 1887 – 10 February 1983) was a Danish actor of stage, screen, radio and television. He is most noted for starring roles in films such as Carl Theodor Dreyer's '' Leaves from Satan's Book'', Johan Jacobsen's '' Jenny and the Soldier'' and Benjamin Christensen's ''Häxan''. Theatre Elith Pio made his theatre debut in 1907 as a member of the Peter Fjelstrup's theater company. He worked in various theaters in Denmark until 1931, when he was employed by the Royal Danish Theatre. He remained a member of the Royal Theatre until his retirement in 1974. Some of his most famous roles were Aristophanes in Johan Ludvig Heiberg's ''A Soul after the Dead'', Dr. Relling and Old Ekdal in Henrik Ibsen's '' The Wild Duck'' (''Vildanden'') and a chamberlain to in Ibsen's ''The League of Youth'' (''De unges forbund'').
