Pipe (instrument)
A pipe is a tubular wind instrument in general, or various specific wind instruments. The word is an onomatopoeia, and comes from the tone which can resemble that of a bird chirping . With just three holes, a pipe's range is obtained by overblowing to sound at least the second or the third harmonic partials. Folk pipe Fipple flutes are found in many cultures around the world. Vyacheslav Dmitriyevich Dudka (russian: Вячеслав Дмитриевич Дудка; born 23 April 1960) is a Russian politician who served as the governor of Tula Oblast 2005–2011. Vyacheslav Dudka was born in 1960 in Tula, Russia. In 1982 he graduated from the Tula high hchool of artillery engineers. From 1986 to 1998 Dudka served in the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of Soviet and then Russian army. Since 2000 he was deputy general director of the KBP Instrument Design Bureau, one of the top enteprises of Russia's defence industry. In 2003, Dudka became a part of "president's personnel reserve" and replaced communist governor Vasily Starodubtsev in April 2005. Stanley Dudka
Stanley Dudka (1923-2008) was a decorated Canadian hero of World War II, and a Fishery officer who played a role in international fisheries monitoring. World War II service Dudka joined the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, a Nova Scotia regiment, at 16 years old. He landed on Juno Beach on June 6, 1944, during the Battle of Normandy. He was wounded, and captured by German forces on June 7. While in captivity he witnessed the murder of other Canadian soldiers by General Kurt Meyer of the Waffen SS. He later testified against Meyer. Dudka made three escape attempts before he made his way back to the Allied zone, where he was able to rejoin his regiment.
