In December 2007, Duclos announced that she had split with husband Michael Thomson. They have two children together. Charles Pinot (or Pineau) Duclos (12 February 1704 – 26 March 1772) was a French author and contributor to the ''Encyclopédie ou Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers''. Biography Duclos was born at Dinan in Brittany and studied at Paris. After some time spent in dissipation he began to cultivate the society of wits and joined a club of young men who published their literary efforts under such titles as ''Recueil de ces messieurs'', ''Étrennes de la saint Jean'', ''Œufs de Pâques'' etc. His romance ''Acajou et Zirphile'' was the result of a wager among the club's members: Duclos composed it for a series of engraved plates intended for another work. Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle (born 25 August 1954) is a former France, French professional road bicycle racing, road racing cyclist who was a specialist at one-day Classic cycle races, classic cycling races. He raced from 1977 to 1995, one of the best French riders of a generation that included Bernard Hinault and Laurent Fignon. Born in Lembeye, Duclos-Lassalle was a specialist of Paris–Roubaix, but it took "Duclos", as the public called him, a long time to win. After finishing second to Francesco Moser in 1980 and Hennie Kuiper in 83, he won in 1992, finishing on Roubaix Velodrome 20 seconds ahead the German Olaf Ludwig. Duclos-Lassalle was 37 years old. Jacques Duclos (2 October 189625 April 1975) was a French Communist politician who played a key role in French politics from 1926, when he entered the French National Assembly after defeating Paul Reynaud, until 1969, when he won a substantial portion of the vote in the presidential elections. Biography Born in Louey, Hautes-Pyrénées, Duclos fought in the Battle of Verdun, where he was wounded. He was captured at Chemin des Dames, and remained a prisoner of war for the remainder of the war. In 1920, he joined the newly formed French Communist Party. He rose to the Central Committee in 1926, and defeated Léon Blum in the elections for deputy in the 20th arrondissement. Michelle Duclos (1938 – 18 December 2017) was a Canadian Québécois independence activist. A resident of Quebec, she was a supporter of the Front de Libération du Québec. Samuel Cottereau du Clos or Duclos (18 November 1598 – 1685) was a French physician and apothecary who was among the first members of the Royal Academy of Sciences in France founded by Louis XIV in 1666. He contributed to an early chemical analysis of the mineral waters from around France, examined the composition of plant matter. Biography Du Clos was born in a Huguenot Protestant family in Paris where he studied medicine and followed the teachings of Paracelsus, clashing with the Galenic ideas at the Faculty of Medicine. His academic career is unclear and is confounded by the presence of three other namesake physicians in the period. He supported the idea of conducting experiments and took an interest in pharmacology. He set up his own laboratory in 1645.
