"Duckworth" (stylized as "DUCKWORTH.") is a song by American rapper Kendrick Lamar, taken from his fourth studio album '' Damn'', released on April 14, 2017. The fourteenth and final track on the album (first on the ''Collector's Edition'' of ''Damn''), the lyrics were written by Lamar while the music was written by record producer Patrick Douthit, known professionally as 9th Wonder, with additional Hip hop production, production by Bēkon. The song's title is Lamar's actual last name, Lamar being his middle name. The song tells the true story of Lamar's father meeting Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, years prior to Lamar getting signed to his record label. September was a Slovenian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Ljubljana in 1975. The band was formed by at-the-time already prominent musicians Janez Bončina (vocals), Tihomir "Pop" Asanović (organ), Petar Ugrin (trumpet, violin), Ratomir "Ratko" Divjak (drums), Čarli Novak (bass guitar) and Braco Doblekar (saxophone, percussion). The band's debut album, ''Zadnja avantura'', brought them nationwide popularity with its jazz rock sound. After its release, Ugrin, Divjak and Novak left the band. September was joined by Marijan Maliković (guitar), Jadran Ogrin (bass guitar) and Nelfi Depangher (drums), the new lineup recording the album ''Domovina moja'', with which they moved towards less complex, more rock-oriented sound. Theodore Taylor (February 16, 1934 – October 23, 1987) was an American blues singer. Biography Taylor was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and moved to California in 1952. He became a member of the Mighty Clouds of Joy gospel group, before joining the Santa Monica Soul Seekers as a tenor singer. In 1955, the Soul Seekers approached Maxwell Davis at Modern Records for a recording deal, and he persuaded them to concentrate on secular R&B music. The same group recorded as both The Cadets on Modern and The Jacks on the subsidiary RPM label. Taylor sang lead vocals on The Cadets' "Do You Wanna Rock (Hey Little Girl)" and "I Cry" and also on The Jacks' "Away" and "My Darling."
